Poland and Ukraine: rebuilding railway infrastructure as a strategical pillar of the region's security

The railway in the face of the war in Ukraine became a symbol of resistance, providing transport of troops and equipment to the front, allowing the evacuation of millions of civilians, the distribution of humanitarian aid and strategical supplies, as well as maintaining part of exports. This valuable, though painful lesson requires a reassessment of the approach to rail infrastructure as a strategical component with dual application.
