Russian cucumbers hit the Polish marketplace in bulk. There are concerns about both the reliable marking of the country of origin and the fact that Russian vegetables can be re-exported further to the European Union. While imports of another food products from Russia have declined significantly, in the case of cucumbers we can say that they are virtually flooding our market. No wonder that this is worrying Polish farmers.
