date:29 January 2025 Editor: Anna

Barbara Nowacka, the “government” of education in Donald Tusk's government, stirred public opinion, saying that concentration camps were built by “Polish Nazis”. Later she apologized for those words, claiming that it was a slip of the tongue.
How is it that in his own country a advanced government authoritative calls Poles Nazis? Prof. Wojciech Roszkowski, author of the best-selling book "History and the Present" exposes media and political manipulations, which aim at distorting historical facts and erasure of any truths from our consciousness, and sharply refers to the false accusations of Barbara Nowacka, which fell to his address.

Barbara Nowacka, Minister of Education in Donald Tusk's government, stirred public opinion, saying that concentration camps were built by “Polish Nazis”. Later she apologized for those words, claiming that it was a slip of the tongue.
The same politician, who is able to – intentionally or not – err on a substance so crucial to the state to which it should service due to her position, accused prof. Wojciech Roszkowski, author of, among others, the celebrated textbook for the subject of past and the present. Barbara Nowack publically stated that there is simply a lie on each page of the manual "History and the Present" (White Raven edition).
‘[Barbara Nowacka] cannot indicate 1 specified side. So let's tell the truth, let's tell the truth, which is the truth, which is the lie, and what's on the page. Otherwise, we will gotta deal with the beatings of all, without any regulation of the word “truth”, “liar.” In fact, she uses the word “lying”, which means that the antithesis of lies is truth. What fact does the minister want to show me?” asks the author of the manual “History and the Present”, Prof. Wojciech Roszkowski.
"The Minister's message refers in general to the destiny of this textbook, which is, as is said today, banned. This textbook was officially banned. Contrary to the opposition of readers who have deposed him in large quantities, but has been officially banned, I will re-use this term, as a consequence of a reasonably nasty media campaign, based on lies simply, on a false explanation of any plots in which it was all about something else, and defaming specified a run on social media, I no longer want to mention the various ugly words and terms that affected me. However, the consequence is the exclusion of this textbook, and in general the subject substance from school programmes", emphasises Prof. Roszkowski.
"What's the large deal? Well, that's basic. I mean, the connection between the latest past and what's happening present is, we know, highly strict. After all, everything that happens present has roots in what happened yesterday. If we want to forget what happened yesterday, you can tell everyone that what is present is different than what truly is. And then we'll never learn from our mistakes, of course, due to the fact that history, it's a standard slogan, it's a life teacher, but it's true. After all, everything we do today, what decisions we make, is all due to the analysis of what experience we have from yesterday or the day before," explains Prof. Roszkowski.

Historian besides explains why so many people were so hostile about his work. "This manual, indeed, in my opinion, shows in an honest way how the communist strategy worked, what harm it has caused in Poland, but besides to any degree shows the consequences of this strategy in the next generations," explains the author of the manual.

The full message by Prof. Wojciech Roszkowski can be seen on the recording of the White Crow TV.
