The situation in Poland 2050 got out of control – said organization head Simon Hołownia on Thursday. He hoped that "the proposals would be drawn by both candidates". He did not answer straight whether it meant an appeal to Paulina Hennig-Kloski and Catherine Pełczyńska-Nałęcz to retreat from the competition for leadership.PAP

TVN24 revealed that a group of Polish 2050 politicians, including erstwhile organization leader Simon Hołownia, discussed in late 2025 and early 2026 about the "overturn" and the postponement of the organization president's election. The talks were held in a private messenger group called "2026", whose members were mostly supporters of Holownia.

According to TVN24's findings, Minister of Culture Marta Cienkowska asked in the last days of 2025: "Can't these elections be moved to a saint never? Or throw out all those wonderful fighting candidates for a squeak?" At the beginning of 2026, she wrote, "If you push the elections at the National Council, we can carry out the TURN/RETURN action for peace".

Mr Bartosz Romowicz published on 3 January, a week before the party's first election round, an action plan. It anticipated the repeal of the resolution on online voting and the convening of a fixed national convention within 90 days. The plan besides suggested that Holownia "move in Poland with a fresh imagination in the party".

Mysterious strategy failure

The context of these talks: the mysterious failure of the strategy prevented the president from holding a second circular of election. The strategy recorded quite a few votes, much more than the organization has members. The organization nullified the election. The National Council decided to repeat the second circular by 31 January.

Romowicz, in consequence to questions by TVN24, confirmed that as a lawyer he had prepared legal solutions to organize a fixed election within 90 days. He added that he publically advocated specified elections and that he would vote for Holovnia if this 1 competed due to the fact that he believed that he could preserve the unity of the party.

Holovnia warns against chaos

On Thursday, during a briefing in the Sejm, Szymon Hołownia, Deputy Marshal of the Sejm and the outgoing leader of Poland 2050, made a sharp informing to the organization members. He said, "This is inactive Poland 2050 of Simon Holownia. Not Richard Petru, not Paulina Hennig-Kloski, not Catherine Pełczyńska-Nałęcz".

The holovnia expressed increasing opposition to interior conflicts at the parliamentary club. He warned that the rivalry between candidates Paulina Hennig-Kloska (climate and environmental minister) and Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz (minister of funds and regional policy) threatens party, ruling coalition and state stability.

"Every 1 of these people I personally pointed to letters, to government positions, my work to this allows me to say: stop. This campaign, this polarization, is simply a breakdown of the movement into 2 fighting camps, oversaturated by common aggression, hatred is simply a threat [...]", said Holownia.

The founder of the organization appealed to his colleagues: 'remember' and called for the restoration of peace and order in Poland 2050. He utilized household metaphors, talking about "dad's return" and that he may should be "mother, not just father" in this situation.

The majority of the government in the Sejm is only 13 Members, which makes the interior crisis in Poland 2050, 1 of the pillars of the coalition, peculiarly important. The holovnia described the situation as "an endless Brazilian telenovela in the media" and stated that extending the electoral process generates even greater chaos and instability.

On the question of a possible return to moving the Holovnia party, he replied, "I don't know," and added, "after the fruits." He asked for time to make his appeal appear.
