Consolidation operation against Rassemblement National (RN) Marine Le Pen of all, frequently highly varied programming forces – spawned an highly interesting situation.
Electoral manipulation of the second circular of elections was to form an anti RN coalition in those districts where no settlement in the first circular took place. The French electoral regulation allows 2 candidates to participate in the second circular with the best results of the first circular plus a 3rd candidate who gained more than 12.5% of the vote. The consolidation of the RN opponents consisted in recommending the withdrawal of these 3rd candidates so as not to distract the RN opponents' voices, even at the expense of turning a blind eye to the differences in the evaluation of the programs.
The tactics of this election manipulation proved effective adequate to push the winner of the first circular of elections, Marine Le Pen National Unity, 3rd place. The final results of the elections are as follows: The fresh People's Front (NPF), which is simply a coalition of socialist groups, environmentalists, communists and La France Insoumise (LFI), i.e. speaking Polish to French Unrestrained Jean-Luc Mélenchon, won 182 seats. president Macron Renaissance's centre block won 168 tickets. Rassemblement National (RN), or National Unity, won 143 tickets.
The RN opponents declare the party's defeat, while Marine Le Pen stated that a crucial increase in RN representation in parliament from 88 Members to 143 should be regarded as a success: "I have besides much experience to consider as a disappointing consequence that allows us to double the number of MPs."
Le Pen in her statements to TF1 stated that the weaker than the projected consequence in the 2nd circular of parliamentary elections meant only to “distort” the success of her group. The election success of the forces joined by animosity to RN Marine Le Pen is at the same time a trap of full programme disrepute of these groups. This is revenge for the fabricated electoral manipulation, which insists on revealing its destructive power erstwhile attempting to establish a government and constructively run the state.
Jean-Luc Mélenchon, a leader of the winning NPF and a associate of this coalition of the extremist left-wing France organization Untimed (LFI), declared immediately after announcing the exit poll forecasts that president Emmanuel Macron is required to entrust NPF with the creation of a government.
And this is where the steps that the left-wing fresh People's Front may not be able to penetrate. By the way, they will quote an opinion on Macron by Jeff Childers, my favourite commentator of political events, who wrote in his Coffee&Covid notebook on 8.07: “Despite the abundant hot shots in which a shocking triumph of the left was franticly celebrated, president Macron, superior to his colleagues with an awesome subway of sixty height, managed to halt the right from taking power."
After reprimanding C&C readers that Macron is not so low, Jeff decided to correct his views of Macron's greatness. Further, Macron took action to divide the winning fresh People's Front (NPF) to destruct the fight for the premiere of Jean-Luc Mélenchon, the leader of the NPF and the party's France Front Non-ujajądzenia (LFI), which in the left-wing bloc of the coalition gained the most mandates 74.
For the action Macron appointed the head of the French MFA Stephane Sejourne, with the task of bringing to a break in the winning NPF. So he called on the left, which won the elections to parliament, to enter into a dialog with the Macrona Renaissance organization on the fresh government, placing the condition of exclusion from the melenchonian negotiations of La France Insoumise (LFI).
Macron laid down the threshold conditions to be met by possible coalitions in an effort to establish a government, virtually eliminating the LFI: Absolute support for the EU and Ukraine, without compromise on state laity, active in combating racism and anti-Semitism, speeding up environmental transformation, safety as a precedence for the authorities, maintaining economical attractiveness policy.
It is worth mentioning that Macron does not seem to be afraid about the fact that he lost the EP election to the above programme. If Sejourne had succeeded in excluding LFIs in the NPF, The front, losing 74 MPs, would have 108 votes. The weakening of the NPF would put the winning Renaissance Macronist groups first with 168 votes. However, the sum of the votes 168+108=276, is below 289 votes constituting the parliamentary majority.
However, those willing to join the premier chair are already volunteering.
Head of NPF, French Socialist organization (PS) Olivier Faure said he was willing to act as Prime Minister, but this will be discussed with partners. The PS won 59 seats in the election, which is 15 MPs little than the melenchon LFI.
It will be very interesting to have Jean-Luc Mélenchon's consequence to Olivier Faure's PS request to act as Prime Minister, which is tantamount to the act of betrayal of the front coalition.
