Polish chips getting closer? Superlaboratory open, government decisions missing

The Center for Advanced Materials and Technology of the Warsaw University of Technology opened a state-of-the-art microelectronics and photonics laboratory. This is another step in building the skills needed to launch a semiconductor production line in Poland, which could be utilized in defence industry, among others. Deputy Prime Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski spoke during the beginning about producing his own microprocessors. However, the government has inactive not finalised decisions on the next phase of the investment, which is to be 1 of the foundations of the state's technological sovereignty.
