Pomeranian police carried out an effective action against an organized crime group dealing with car transit. Thanks to the cooperation of officers of the Criminal Division of the Provincial Police office in Gdańsk, police officers from Nowy Dwór Gdańsk, the KWP Crime laboratory in Gdańsk and the Border defender in Krynica Morska, they managed to destruct illegal activities.
A stolen vehicle warehouse revealed
A warehouse full of stolen cars and parts was discovered on the property in the village of Drewnica (nowodworski district). Among the secured items were:
- Mercedes AMG C63 about PLN 500 thousand, stolen in Germany,
- Toyota C-HR on French plates, parts of which came from a car stolen in Italy,
- components two Mercedes E Class from France,
- components BMW G30 with the VIN number removed.
All vehicles and parts were examined in item by forensics technicians who secured evidence crucial to the investigation.
Five foreigners detained
As a consequence of police actions, they were stopped five foreigners: Ukrainian citizen, 3 Moldovans and Armenians. Everybody heard the charges. care. The case is developmental, and officers do not exclude further detentions and further investigation of the criminal network.
International cooperation is the key to success
The action shows the importance of cooperation between national services in the fight against organised crime. Police are inactive analyzing data to find the full scope of group activities and possible links to another gangs.
