The Pole's flight into space again. Leak detected in Russian module

The launch of the Ax-4 mission with Sławomir Uznański-Wiśniewski at the global Space Station was again postponed. It seemed this morning that the Pole would fly into space on Friday at 13.12 Polish time, but it was already known that the flight would not take place at that time. This time the launch was postponed due to the detection of a leak in the Russian service module Zwiezda.

The launch first torpedoed the weather and then detected a liquid oxygen leak from the first-degree rocket. The flight was originally scheduled for May 29, but it did not occur. besides failed on June 8, 10 and 12. Neither will June 13. This time the plans thwarted the leak in the Russian service module Zwiezda at the global Space Station.

Leakage from Convene module

In its Communication, Axis Space and NASA stated that NASA is working with Russian agency Roskosmos "to realize the fresh force signature that emerged after fresh repair work in the rear section of the service module of the global Space Station".

The following part of the communication reads that the Russian astronauts on board the ISS late inspected the interior surfaces of the force module, sealed respective locations and measured the rate of leaks. Following these activities, the section presently maintains the appropriate pressure.

"Axiom's postponement of the mission gives NASA and Roskosmos additional time to measure the situation and find whether additional action is needed," we read on NASA's pages. The Communication besides stated that NASA has asked the Russians to answer circumstantial questions about the Zwieda module. The fresh start date has not been given.

IGNIS Mission

This is the 4th commercial manned expedition carried out by American company Axiom Space. The Polish participation is the consequence of an agreement signed between the Ministry of improvement and Technology and the European Space Agency to prepare and carry out the Polish IGNIS Technology and discipline Mission on the ISS. The Polish Space Agency (POLSA) besides participates in the preparations and 13 experiments and technologies of Polish scientists and companies will be taken on the ISS.

The crew will launch on board the Falcon 9 rocket from Launch Complex 39A at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Ax-4 mission crew consists of: Peggy Whitson (USA) – commander, Sławomir Uznański-Wiśniewski (Poland/ESA) – specialist, Shubhanshu Shukla (India) – pilot and Tibor Kapu (Hungary) – specialist.
