In consequence to the escalation of the military activities of the Russian Federation, whose air force carried out massive attacks in the territory of Ukraine, the Polish armed forces took decisive steps to safe the country's airspace. According to the Operations Command of Types of Armed Forces, due to the intensification of Russian aviation operations, especially in the western areas of neighbouring Ukraine, Polish fighters were raised to combat readiness, and air defence and radio-location systems reached the highest level of vigilance.
