Łódź artists were congratulated by the Vice president of the Management Board of Łódź Maria Moroz. – The artistic, social activity of the state in Łódź is enviable. Special, crazy congratulations on Mrs. Eve Tomporek-Fukuoka's hand. Without her, her self-denial, it wouldn't have worked.
In turn Maria Wierzbicka, the art historian, referred to the long-term search of the office by the Łódź Union, calling it a scandal: – I did not anticipate that there could be specified conditions in our country and culture in which artists spend years searching for a place for themselves to present their achievements. This is impossible for me due to the fact that in this place, in Łódź, union traditions date back to post-war times, and the Union itself are years much earlier.
The territory of Łódź ZPAP experienced the best period before the martial law. This active close cooperation with the Higher School of Arts in Łódź, which was joined by artists specified as Benon Liberski and Wiesław Garbolinski. After 1989, the union was reactivated, but did not regain its importance and all its assets. The only origin of livelihood remained the “Artistics Base” which unfortunately declined over time, and financial problems began to pile up after 2000.
Members of ZPAP in Łódź are well-known artists teaching in Łódź ASP, among others prof. dr hab. Gabriel Kolat and Dr Jacek Galewski. Nestorka, who actively participates in the artistic life of Łódź, is simply a well-known designer and artist Teresa Klink - Kobierska, winner of the Silver Medal "Gloria Artis". The Medal “Deserved for Culture” besides has another well-known artists – Andrzej BatorBrothers Maximilian and Kajetan Kreutz-Majevski. The territory of Łódź ZPAP tries to be visible on the cultural map of Łódź as an organizer of an highly crucial event for the culture – the global image Biennial “Quadro Art”. “Despite the deficiency of headquarters, we have been able to organize the seventh, eighth and ninth editions of the global image Biennial “Quadro Art”, says Ewa Fukuoka.
