The organisation of the Collective safety Agreement (ODKB) was intended to counter NATO. It was created by states which decided to trust on the military support of the Russian Federation, declaring that aggression against 1 of the members would be treated as an attack on the full ODF. However, as it turns out, unlike the NATO Pact, the ODCB (and its civilian counterpart – Commonwealth of Independent States) does not increase the number of its members but reduces.
