How many storm helicopters do NATO troops have, what's the first velocity of the Beryl firearm cartridge erstwhile you can evacuate from the battlefield? specified questions were addressed by the finalists of the Interschool cognition Tournament on the Polish Army "Army Extreclas". The title of champions was defended by last year's winners – advanced school students from Staszów.
This was the 4th edition of the tournament organized by Central Military Recruitment Centre. The competition is addressed to students of military classes and participants of MON educational programs, specified as Military Preparation Divisions, ‘CYBER.MIL classy’ or manufacture troops. It aims to advance military cognition and the promotion of military service among young people.
16 teams from all over the country arrived at the Grand Final of the Interschool cognition Tournament on the Polish Army “Army Extreklas”. The 3rd circular – the central circular – was played at the Warsaw garrison command club.
In addition to the cognition of military and Polish army it was besides essential to absorb information concerning NATO. With the questions they were asked during the tournament, they were best able to handle last year's winners, i.e. students from the Fr Stefan Wyszynski advanced School in Staszów. The team's squad was composed of Emilia Walczak, Gabriel Iskra and Mikołaj Sapa.
Silver went to I LO for Jarosław Dąbrowski in Rawicz. 3rd place was taken by cadets from Ostrow – from the AK Uniform-Technical Schools Team.
According to the captain of the winning team, cadet Nicholas Sapa, the level of this year's edition of the tournament was even higher than in 2024. Gabriel Iskra's cadet before the final circular of questions said she came here to win. She explained that she was taking part in the competition due to the fact that she wanted to advance school and uniform classes and to show herself on the best side.
Col. Rzez. Arkadiusz Nenutil, the guardian of the RDP in the LO of Stefan Wyszyński in Staszów, revealed that they had developed a peculiar maneuver in preparation for the competition. The material was divided into parties and individual players focused on another subject. – Gabriela focused on NATO – she handled statistical data very well, Mikołaj specializes in cognition compendium for pro-defensive training, and Emilka mastered the rules," he explained. He besides admitted that the emotions on the phase were reaching out to the zenith, especially erstwhile his subjects gave a good answer, but the members of the jury misheard and at first considered it bad. Colonel Grzegorz Wawrzynkiewicz, Chief Central Military Recruitment Center, notes the increasing interest in the competition and estimates that the programmes for youth conducted by the MON are experiencing the Renaissance. – 16 final teams were selected from the very many teams that staged for the school tournament participating in the MON program. The best of the best of the best – he said, came to the garrison club.
Deputy Prime Minister Sławomir Biraga, head of the recruitment and promotion department at the Mazovia Central Centre of the Military Recruitment Centre, notes that only in his region the number of schools curious in the competition increased almost twice. – Last year 26 facilities came in, and there were 46 of them in this,” said the officer.
At the end of the ceremonial finale Colonel Grzegorz Wawrzynkiewicz read a letter from Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, in which the head of the MON thanked the participants for the example they gave their peers. “Because the hard work and passion they show are crucial qualities of mature people,” Kosiniak-Kamish wrote.
