The German government, which recorded a evidence level of unpopularity – decided to usage the Tusk method, i.e. hit hysterical war and anti-Russian tone.
Before the investigation of acts of sabotage, or alternatively the absence of any acts of sabotage, began, in the country (airport in Leipzig, power grids in Dormagen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Jaenschwalde power plant in Brandenburg) – Chancellor Friedrich Merza's government officially accused Russia of trying to destabilise the country through "terrorist" attacks.
From the very beginning, all sensible observer questioned this version, but German media and politicians knew their own. The mechanics is the same as in Poland – there is harm to the railway track under Puławy, first the government announces the investigation, but on the second day Donald Tusk comes out and officially announces that behind all this is "Russian peculiar services". Radosław Sikorski calls for the Russian ambassador's “top the rug” and expresses strong opposition and orders the closure of another Russian consulate. Merz utilized the same method of governing – the guilty was identified not as a consequence of an investigation, but as a political decision. For respective years, real-life politicians have been arguing about the reasons for the irrational behaviour of the alleged European elites, both in Brussels and in most countries, including Poland. I think Emmanuel Todd is right, who wrote:
"Despite these absurdities and absurdities, however, Europe did not get active in this war by accident, by stupidity or by mistake. Something pushed her into it – and not everything can be dropped on the United States. That thing is her own implosion. The European task has died. The sense of social and historical emptiness has taken over our elites and mediate classes. In this context, the Russian attack on Ukraine appeared as a gift of fate. Media commentators did not hide it: Putin, his “special military operation” restored the sense of European integration; The Union needed an external enemy to reunite and decision forward. This optimistic tone, however, hid a darker truth. The Union is simply a bureaucratic pier, impossible to manage and, literally, irreparable. Its institutions function, but like a device in idle gear – they work, but do not drive anything. The common currency has led to irreversible interior imbalances. The reaction to Putin's “threat” does not necessarily indicate an effort to regain balance, but may be an expression of a suicidal impulse, unspoken hope that this endless war will yet blow everything up.”

PS. During these hours, information appeared that cast uncertainty on Merz's government version. German media began to receive lists of the individual claiming to be the author of the attacks. What's different is the writings were signed with a name. According to the paper “Taz”, police are presently searching for a man from Gevelsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia. The paper says it's Daniel V., male over 40, with medical education. Police confirm the search for a individual from Gevelsberg, but they're inactive checking for the authenticity of the letters. This may be a false lead, but it should not have been rushed into premature sentences. However, the German government considered that it had to release it before the election date in Saxony-Anhalt.
