Attack on warehouses

On the night of 21 on 22 July, Ukrainian drones attacked targets in Russian Krasnodar region and Stawropolski country. Among the attacked facilities were Wildberries logistics centers, referred to as the "Russian Amazon", in Krasnodar and Niewinnomyssk. The attacks resulted in fires, and according to the Russian authorities and representatives of the company 10 people were injured. The debris from the shot down drone besides damaged 2 apartments in Krasnodar.

Over 100 firefighters and a chopper were sent to fire action. In Armavira, besides in Krasnodarski, 1 individual died after the shrapnel of a shot down drone fell into the company's premises. Wildberries has not yet reported on the scale of material losses or any disturbances in the operation of the affected logistics centres.

This is another attack on Wildberry objects in fresh days. On Saturday, Ukrainian drones attacked warehouses of the company in the Tambov region and in the Moscow region. According to the Russian authorities, 8 people died as a consequence of these events and respective twelve were injured.

The largest in Russia

Wildberries is 1 of the largest online trading platforms operating in Russia and CIS countries. The service functions as a marketplace, through which thousands of retailers offer clothing, footwear, electronics, cosmetics and household products. The company has extended logistics infrastructure, including many warehouses and reception points.

Due to the scale of operations and the developed Wildberries supply system, the Russian e-commerce marketplace has a position akin to that played by Amazon in many Western countries.

Dead negotiating point

The peace talks between Ukraine and Russia were held with US president Donald Trump at an impasse. Kiev rejects the conditions of Vladimir Putin, who, as a price for ending the war, demands the takeover of the full Donbas, including areas whose Russian troops have failed to capture since the launch of a full-scale invasion in 2022.

Donald Trump during the election run announced the end of the war in Ukraine within 24 hours. After a fewer months of office, however, he admitted that the conflict was much more complicated than initially assumed. At the same time, he repeatedly emphasized that his predecessor, Joe Biden, was liable for the outbreak of war.
