Under my late published article Payment ringing PKO BP etc. Globalistic control tools commentator @BAT wrote: And who pays all day in cash is interested? The interest should be in what is deflative and not inflationary.

The above opinion shows that this individual ( @BAT) does not truly know what he is writing about, and what is the problem with distributing electronic payments and thus displacing cash from the market. Therefore, as a reflection, I mention to the following article:

"80 percent of Poles most frequently paid cash free in stationary stores in the past year – according to the survey "The Mobile image of a Pole". More than 60 percent admitted that it reached for cash from time to time. On the Internet, BLIK was the dominant payment, as 42 percent indicated.

80% of respondents declared that they usually pay cash-free in stationary stores – according to a survey commissioned by Bank Millennium. Poles pay offline with an account card (41%), cash (20%), credit card (13%), digital wallet on the phone, e.g. Apple Pay, Google Pay (12%), close to BLIK on the telephone (7%) and BLIK (5%). The usage of the watch or payment band was indicated by 1% of the survey participants.

"These data show a immense improvement of non-cash payments recently. 7 years ago, we conducted the first survey “The Mobile image of a Pole”, and at that time more than 70 percent of respondents claimed that they never paid by phone, and almost 60 percent never utilized BLICK”, as quoted in Iwon Jarzębska's Thursday release, manager of the Public Relations Department at Bank Millennium.
"In Poland, the popularity of non-cash payments is due to respective key factors. Firstly, the improvement of payment technology is very high. We usage state-of-the-art solutions that are fast and safe. The wide implementation of close-up payments, which are much more convenient, besides benefited. Secondly, payment terminals are widely available, even in tiny shops and service outlets, and entrepreneurs have been and are actively encouraged to install them. Thirdly, the full payment revolution would not have been done if it were not for the approach of Poles who are willing to usage fresh technologies and are open to financial innovation," explained Tomasz Perski, Head of the Customer's Solution improvement squad – Charter and Payments at the Electronic Banking Department in Bank Millennium.

The survey showed that most Poles approach cash practically; 60% of respondents reached for cash in stationary stores from time to time. Cash was besides the second most popular way to pay after the card to the account – the authors of the message stated.

44% of respondents admitted that it was good to have a ‘some sum’ in cash. At the same time, 54 percent of Poles indicated that from time to time they pay in stores both in cash and without cash; and 39 percent that they do so sometimes. all 3rd individual (33%) uses cash “when necessary” or erstwhile the payment in another form “is difficult”. all 4th individual (25%) assessed that payment in cash gives them a sense of greater control over spending. On the another hand, 23 percent of respondents pointed out that they did not like this method due to the fact that "it is not convenient". 12% felt safer paying cash, and for 11% this form might not be due to the fact that it prefers non-cash forms of payment. 10 percent of Poles last year kept savings in cash.

The results of the survey show that fast electronic payments have completely dominated the Internet, as indicated in the Communication. In 2024, BLIK code dominated payment on the network, 42 percent of respondents indicated it as the main method; 55 percent acknowledged that it utilized BLIK on the network from time to time. Respondents besides pointed out that they utilized a fast transfer via the payment gateway (for 20% it was the main method, and 47% utilized it from time to time), an online transfer (12% mainly, 32% from time to time), a credit card (6% mainly, 22% from time to time), a credit card (another 5% and 15%), a digital wallet (another 4% and 12%), a deferred payment (another 4% and 14%) and a PayPal (another 3% and 20%). From time to time Poles besides utilized online instalments and loans (5%) and gift cards (5%).

The survey “The Mobile image of a Pole” was carried out by Ariadna National investigation Panel on behalf of the Public Relations squad of Bank Millennium, on 25-29 October 2024, on a example of 1068 people, utilizing the CAWI method. (PAP)

Short comment:
Electronic payments alternatively of cash, but besides payments through spersonised ‘payment gadgets’, are not only cash displacement but, above all, the promotion of an effective tool for social control and individual consumer behaviour, or even more of life. The issue of inflation/deflation and real income has nothing to do with this and there remains a question which is independent of the form of payment. The opinion of a @BAT indicates not only that the issue is not understood but besides that it is unaware or aware of the social and fundamental rights risks.
