PKOl Vice president Mieczysław Nowicki, who replaced the arrested president Radosław Piesiewicz, told PAP that a five-member review committee was besides invited to the Tuesday gathering of the board's bureau.
"I want us to collegiately set a date for the board meeting," he said.
Nowicki operates under the authority of Psiewicz arrested for 3 months under Article 50 of the PKOl Statute. On Tuesday, the Bureau of the Board will be the first gathering of the PKOl authorities since the president was detained. However, the majority of the Bureau members signed after writing to Nowicki to have the full board - competent to dismiss the PKOl president - assemble on the same day.
- I'm sorry. The situation is exceptional, which is why the board wants to convene as shortly as possible. My want is that everyone, i.e. 60 board members, not counting the president, can meet and speak," Nowicki added.
As he pointed out, the practice so far marked the convening of the board within 2 weeks. This time it could be even faster. The agenda of the Board will be set on the Bureau, which will besides be attended by the Secretary-General Marek Palus.
