Law and Justice addressed a proposal to the Central Anti-corruption Office concerning possible irregularities in the distribution of aid to entrepreneurs injured during the floods in Lower Silesia in 2024. The organization wants to determine, among others, who made decisions about granting money and on what basis the conclusions were verified.
According to the findings of Virtual Polish journalists 4.5 million PLN from the Krkonoše Regional improvement Agency received 3 entities from Dziwiszów. 1 of the beneficiaries was the company of KARR's husband, a Citizen Coalition activist. The next company was to receive PLN 3.2 million, and the next – PLN 1.12 million. For 1 of the beneficiaries, Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego was to confirm the absence of the required declaration of impartiality.
According to WP, 4 independent sources did not confirm the presence of flood water at the indicated addresses. In 1 case, the examination carried out 10 months after the flood showed, among others, broken tiles and harm to the plaster. At the same time, the municipality was to admit that it did not have independent evidence that the harm was caused by the flood.
Law and Justice demands information on the safety of documentation, on the way in which applications are assessed and on why support should besides be sent to entities which, according to media findings, have not been affected by floods.
