The collegiate Disciplinary Court of PiS decided to exclude 38 MPs and 2 senators belonging to the parliamentary club improvement Plus. Among them is erstwhile Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. He informed PAP about the decision
All parliamentarians severely violated the party's charter by leaving the PiS club and joining the fresh improvement Plus club," disciplinary spokesperson Karol Karski reported. In the case of Mateusz Morawiecki, the court further stated that on August 3, it publically announced the creation of a political organization competing with the Law and Justice – the erstwhile Prime Minister had previously announced that this would happen at the latest on October 15, the day of the Plus improvement Convention.
The excluded have 7 days to appeal. If they don't, the decision will be final. In the event of an appeal, the case will be reconsidered by a disciplinary court in another configuration.
Among the excluded were Marcin Horala, Paweł Jabłoński, Łukasz Schreiber, Ryszard Terlecki, Krzysztof Szczucki, Janusz Cieszynski, Szymon Szymon Szynkowski, and Krzysztof Kubów. The decision was not taken by Euro MPs Piotr Müller, Michał Dworczyk and Waldemar Buda, who belong to the improvement Plus Association. As Karski explained, they did not leave the PiS parliamentary club and did not join the fresh club.
The improvement Plus Club besides includes non-PiS MPs: Andrzej Gut-Mostowy, Marek Jakubiak and Agnieszka Zascuj, as well as Senators Włodzimierz Bernacki and Ryszard Majer.
