A fast reaction of the Law and Justice to Jasina's statement
The PiS leadership reacted immediately to the loud message by Luke Jasina, who was deprived of the function of spokesperson for the diplomatic ministry on Friday evening. Yesterday, he was officially fired from work at the Ministry of abroad Affairs. Paweł Żuchowski reported on X (formerly Twitter) that Jasina would formally lose her occupation on November 30. Interestingly, with respect to the forecasts of the dismissed spokesperson, let us point out that the committees which had already counted the votes then waited for hours to approve the protocols. Żuchowski added that according to his findings, the MFA press office is preparing for wider changes, even before almost any change of government.
Novogrodzka requested the dismissal of the Ombudsman
It turns out that according to RMF writer Pawel Żuchowski, Łukasz Jasin was released from the MFA on command, which reached the ministry of diplomacy from... Nowogrodzka. The PiS blamed the failure in the elections (no parliamentary majority) for having just heard the MFA spokesperson, considering that this message gave fuel to the democratic opposition. Jasina was to mobilize the indecisive electorate on the last simple campaign, just before the election silence.
– We couldn't even react, put in any kind of narrative, due to the fact that he did it just before the silence. There was no way to react. Our politicians could not appear in the media due to the voter silence. He did the incorrect thing. He betrayed us," said a correspondent for RMF FM in the US.
In 2021, PiS defended a spokesperson who is homosexual
PiS, as is known, is simply a conservative organization of the worldview, and in the election run in peculiar Jarosław Kaczyński regularly mocked LGBT environment. The president of the Law and Justice was peculiarly mocking the operation of sex change. Meanwhile, it turned out that the United Right besides had a gay in her ranks. LGBT activist Bart Staszewski called for the ridicule of Łukasz Jasina:
“If Łukasz Jasina, the newer spokesperson for the Ministry of abroad Affairs, is truly gay, then of course this should be discussed and ridiculed. This government fights LGBT people, creates LGBT-free zones. It's the same hypocrisy as a messenger who quietly removes pregnancy and publically condemns abortions. Comedy – Staszewski wrote on Twitter (now X), his entry echoed in Polish public space.
Deputy Head of the Ministry of abroad Affairs Paweł Jabłoński then took the following in defence of the criticized spokesman:
– Mr Łukasz Jasina was employed in the Ministry of abroad Affairs due to the fact that he has excellent qualifications. Motivated by hatred and intolerance, we justice the attacks on him very negatively. The MFA will supply its spokesperson with all the support and will defend him against attacks affecting his privacy," Jabłoński wrote.
Jasina never denied his sexual orientation. At 1 time he allowed himself to come out in pro-government tv Republic:
Before taking office in the Ministry of abroad Affairs, Łukasz Jasina was not identified with the environment of the Polish right. As for his résumé, we know he's a historian, filmmaker, and publicist. At 1 time he was head of the east Department of the Liberal Culture and the abroad Cooperation Department of the Museum of Polish History. Since 2016 he has conducted analyses at the Polish Institute of global Affairs, he was besides the secretary of the editorial board of the Polish Diplomatic Review. He is simply a doctor of humanities – he obtained a doctorate from the Institute of Art PAS.
Strong words about Polish-Ukrainian relations
In May 2023, Łukasz Jasina stated that although Polish-Ukrainian relations are close, there are inactive many things that should be fixed. He meant, for example, the issue of Volyn, which, as he mentioned, is left out in Ukraine and constitutes a "kill" in bilateral relations. He besides pointed out that it would be 80 years since the Volyn-Galician crime in July. He added that it should be stressed that the war in Ukraine contributed to improving Polish-Ukrainian relations. Expressing his hope that there would be an even greater improvement in the relations of both countries, he pointed out that this is now besides slow in terms of painful history.
– The president of Ukraine on the Volyn massacre should say "I apologize and please, delight forgive us". We Poles, took Polish work for crimes committed by our country in Ukrainians as a state. Ukraine lacks specified responsibility, although many things have changed for the better," said Łukasz Jasina in a conversation with Onet.
The Ukrainian ambassador to Poland, Vasily Zwarycz, addressed Jasina's words, who wrote in social media "any effort to impose on the president of Ukraine or Ukraine, which we must have on the common past is unacceptable". He thus reacted to the words of the erstwhile MFA spokesman, who believes that president Zelenski should apologize to Poles for the Volyn massacre. After any time Zwarycz removed his entry.
In March 2022, Łukasz Jasina spoke amazingly about the alleged NATO peace mission in Ukraine proposed by the Polish authorities. In presenting the authoritative position of the MFA, he said: “We are servants of the Ukrainian people here” and this was expected to make Kiev a decisive voice for intervention. This message has outraged many right-wingers. It turned out that the word ‘servants’ was utilized against the MFA spokesperson.
Luke Jasina is simply a moderate, eloquent conservative who is gay and who paid a advanced price for the words of truth.
