In the context of controversy about government funds, which have come to the support of Father Tadeusz Rydzyk in fresh years, this subject was widely discussed by the media even before the change of government in Poland. According to information collected by Virtual Poland, for 8 years the regulation of Law and Justice, the clergyman received about PLN 380 million from public money for various initiatives.
The Ministry of Justice has announced that payments from the Justice Fund have been stopped since December 27. In the first phase of the check, payments planned for January 2024 shall be verified. The Justice Ministry has declared that it will make all effort to guarantee that payments to which there is no uncertainty are made as shortly as possible.

The process of monitoring payments includes agreements on assistance to victims, post-penitional actions and action against the causes of crime. The audit concerns both contracts awarded under competition and those awarded outside competition. “It applies to 112 entities, which only in January are to receive payments for a full of PLN 79,770,098.59.
