Less than six months after swearing in, Karol Nawrocki held 23 abroad meetings with leaders of 16 countries — 16 individual visits and 7 telephone calls. The analysis of the diplomatic calendar of the fresh president makes it possible to see a coherent geopolitical logic, in which the different directions of travel form a clear hierarchy of priorities.
Washington as a benchmark. The United States is clearly the most crucial direction in the abroad policy of the fresh President. Nawrocki maintained six contacts with the American administration — from teleconferencing on Ukraine, through an authoritative visit to the White home in September, to gathering Donald Trump at the margins of the planet economical Forum in Davos. A visit to Washington DC completed his active participation in the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in fresh York City, where the president held bilateral talks with the Heads of State of respective continents and met with representatives of American business. The strength of these contacts indicates consciously building a relation with a key ally at a time erstwhile the European safety architecture is undergoing a profound transformation.
The east flank and the Baltic dimension. Lithuania is the second destination for frequency — 3 individual visits, including participation in the beginning of the Lithuanian section Via Baltica and celebration of the 163rd anniversary of the outbreak of the January Uprising. The activity in the Baltic region is complemented by visits to Estonia and Latvia, where the president besides met with Polish soldiers stationed as part of the Natovian mission. telephone talks with Bulgarian and Moldovan presidents extend the map of contacts to countries for which the east flank of NATO poses a direct safety challenge. Nawrocki has consistently invested in relations with its neighbours: an authoritative visit to Slovakia, a visit to the Czech Republic combined with a gathering with Prime Minister Andrzej Babisz, and yet the V4 presidents' summit in Budapest in December 2025. This series suggests an effort to reactivate the Visegrad format as an area for coordinating the positions of the Central European countries — a format that has lost its importance in fresh years.
Key European Capitals. The calendar of visits besides includes 1 gathering in Berlin, Paris, Rome and London — the capitals of Europe’s 4 largest economies. The visit to Italy had a peculiar dimension: in addition to talks with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and president Sergio Mattarella, Nawrocki conducted an audience with Pope Leon XIV. The image that emerges from the first half of Karol Nawrocki's presidency is simply a abroad policy based on concentric circles: from a strategical transatlantic ally, through direct neighbourhood and east flank, to the key capitals of the European Union. A consequence is seen in the selection of directions and partners. This is simply a good starting point for further building Poland's position on the global stage, both in terms of safety and European policy.
