"First Kingdom" by Prof. Wojciech Polak on the 1000th anniversary of the coronation of Bolesław Chrobry!

In our Polish reality it is frequently possible to get the impression that Poland started in 1989, sometimes it is possible to consider 1918. Anniversarys of earlier, large events, achievements and victorious battles of years and centuries seldom be in social consciousness, and thus besides in public space.

And we are a nation of more than a 1000 years of tradition, persistent, faithful and courageous! But not everyone is good adequate to remember that. So, all the more indispensable part of 21st century patriotism is memory – about our history, not only the 1 in which we were martyrs and victims, but besides this victorious, successful and building examples throughout our history.

An invitation to specified a memory is the jubilee book by Prof. Wojciech Polak "First Kingdom", which has just reached the shelves of our net Bookshop. Boleslaw Chrobry not only reached for the crown as the first ruler of Polan, but besides made his country a European power. Sam was a fear for his enemies and a support for his friends, and besides a brave chief and a reasonable strategist.

Prof. Wojciech Polak's book "First Kingdom" tells about the time erstwhile Poland yet developed. We will find in it descriptions of both Bolesław Chrobry's armed expeditions, as well as everyday life and customs of that time; with the author we will visit places where the directions of the politics of that time were determined, we will witness the strengthening of Christianity, which from the beginning was inextricably connected with the Polish statehood.

The verbal communicative in the First Kingdom is enriched with many unique illustrations, which makes it a book worthy of the Jubilee of the millennium of coronation of the large Polish ruler!
