Representatives of the Polish Army won 2 medals for the inauguration of the 49th Modern Military Championships. The championship title in the rivalry relay was won by prof. Natalia Dominika and Więcer. Małgorzata Karbowicz. On the another hand, the men's relay in the line-up: St. szer. spec. Daniel Ławrynowicz and St. Łukasz Gutkowski took 3rd place.
First the day of the championship which yesterday began on the objects of the Provincial Sports and Recreation Centre in Drzonkowo, quite a few excitement was given to fans by five-siders fighting for medals in the men's and women's relay competition. They were the first to join the fight of the women's duet – 7 teams fought for medals. 9 couples competed for podium seats among men.
From 5th place to first
The Polish women's relay did not precisely start competing. In the battles on the fencing board of the St. Wire peculiar Specialist Natalia Dominik and Wire. Margaret Carbage with 230 points placed in 5th position. “We started poorly, but compared to another duets, we could not say that we looked bad,” said prof. Natalia Dominika. She besides added that she and her colleague had made up for their losses on the obstacle track. “We won the OCR and, in fact, the final triumph is due to our very good consequence on the track. Then we increased the advantage of swimming, moving and shooting, and this is the consequence – she admitted happy with winning gold more experienced from Polish players.
The Hungarians Noémi Eshes and Dorin Dobronyi triumphed in the competition on the fencing board – they won 250 “a look”. The second place was taken by representatives of Italy. Maria Lea Lopez and Aurora Tognetti lost six points to Hungarians. The 3rd place, with 238 points, was won by five-boits from Turkey and the 4th Ukrainian, who had entered 236 points. After a short break, the contestants entered the fight on the obstacle track. It was completed by only 2 duets: Polish and Hungarian. The Poles triumphed with 1 min 27.44 s, by more than 8 seconds were faster than the Hungarians. Dominik and Karbowicz for the triumph improved their score by 243 points and took the lead in the combined classification, which they had no longer put to the finish of the run combined with shooting. The Polish were the best swimmer (winned 2 min 8.09 s with time), the second erstwhile Turkish (with time 2 min 10.10 s) and the 3rd Italian (2 min 11.09 s). In the final competition – laser run – representatives Central Military Sports Team they achieved a time of 14 min 4.30 s and scored a full of 1223 points. The second consequence – 14 min 15.48 s – had Italians, but in the full classification with 977 points it was adequate only to win a bronze medal. Silver, out of 1157 points, won the Hungarians.
After moving to the finish line of cross-country gear combined with scope shooting. Małgorzata Karbowicz, who competed on the second shift of the Polish relay, Polish women could enjoy gold and give first interviews. Turns out they didn't talk about fighting rivals before they started. “We know that we wanted to win this medal, the best gold, but whatever it was, it would truly be a large honour and an accomplishment for us,” said prof. Natalia Dominik. It's wide. Margaret Karbowicz referred to individual rivalry with Italian Aurora Tognetti, with whom she lost by 4 "eyes" a conflict for bronze at the civilian planet championships a period ago. I hope there's a rematch. I'll do anything to show my best, hopefully in the final. I'm counting on a good rivalry with Aurora. The full period we compete, erstwhile she wins, erstwhile me and I think that this competition will besides bring any good emotions here – admitted the 4th player of the civilian championship in Kaunas.
Stand up to conflict as equals
After competing on the fencing board, the Polish men's banner was placed only in the sixth position. Specials Daniel Ławrynowicz and Majors Łukasz Gutkowski began the fight for medals from the acquisition of 228 „eczek”. And the leaders of Egypt were Mohamed El Ashqar and Mohanad Shaban. More experienced of them, Shaban is simply a two-time planet champion from 2 years ago (team and mixed relay) and a current bronze individual and squad medalist. The second place in the fencing was taken by Hungarians – Csaba Bőhm and József Tamás, the 3rd – French Leo Bories and Valentin Belaud, the 4th Ukrainians – Danylo Sych and Yuriy Kowalczuk, and the 5th South Korean representatives – Kim Kyonghwan and Kim Yoobin. Poles were ahead of Italians, Spaniards and Turks.
On the obstacle track the fastest were the French (with a time of 58.67 s). The second duo to complete the rivalry below a minute, were Egyptians – they ran 59.59 p. The 3rd position ranked Ukrainians (1 min 1.21 s), 4th Poles (1 min 2.06 s), and 5th Koreans (1 min 7.97 s). On the another hand, the Italians did the best in the swimming pool – they triumphed with 1 min 48.38 pp. Second place was taken by the Egyptians (1 min 53.08 s), 3rd Hungarians (1 min 54.06 s), 4th Ukrainians (1 min 55.07 s), 5th Koreans (1 min 55.33 s), and sixth Poles (1 min 58.86 s).
In the decisive cross-country race with the shooting, the Egyptians most likely held the first position, while the others were fought very hard. The relay was started by peculiar Daniel Ławrynowicz and finished by specialist Łukasz Gutkowski. The White-Reds achieved the best consequence in the last competition – 11 min 58.86 pp. The Second Ukrainians overtaken by 15.65 p. The 3rd consequence – 12 min 30.23 p – was obtained by the Egyptians. Thanks to the large attitude in the final competition, Poles in the combined classification provided themselves a bronze medal, but at times fans enjoyed the second place they occupied. The gold medal was won by the Egyptians, who collected 1451 points. The Ukrainians won the silver with 1444 meshes and overtook the hosts' representatives by just two. In the 4th position, they finished the French rivalry (1440 points), followed by: 5th Hungarians (1395), 6th Koreans (1370), 7th Italians (1348), 8th Turks (1332), 9th Spaniards (862).
The White-Reds were very happy to win the bronze medal. Just before the start of the competition, we knew that it would be a very hard and fierce fight for medals. But there's nothing left for us but to stand up to conflict like equal to equal, due to the fact that somewhere in this top we've been showing up together with Daniel for years, and fighting for medals. And so we did! – stressed Gutkowski.
