‘- This is not a question of whether, but "when" - said the secretary-general of the Jens Stoltenberg Alliance about Ukraine's membership of NATO. The most crucial news on the main day of the NATO summit in Washington, in which a plenary gathering was held between leaders representing all 32 associate States, concerns assistance to Ukraine. In a joint statement, US, Danish and Dutch leaders have revealed that the process of transferring long-awaited F-16 aircraft and Ukrainian pilots should have them at their disposal this summer. The allies announced the transportation of fresh air defence systems to Ukrainians, including the Patriots, 40 billion dollars in military aid in 2025, further safety cooperation agreements, increased interoperability of the armed forces, and NATO's direct commitment to coordinating arms supply and training Ukrainian soldiers, helping fresh command in Wiesbaden, Germany. The Ukrainians cannot number on the invitation for the time being (the Baltic States, Poland and France claimed it, but the opposition of the US and Germany prevailed). They hoped, though, for a stronger appreciation for their aspirations than at last year's Vilnius summit."
