Philippines strengthens presence in the South China Sea to deter Beijing

The Philippine authorities ordered their troops to increase their presence in the South China Sea on Thursday 29 December 2022, citing a threat in the disputed waters close the strategical island of the Philippines, says CNN Philippines.
