This is the first public confirmation of reports that rise concerns about the escalation of the war in Ukraine. According to South Korean intelligence, North Korea has already sent about 1,500 troops to Russia, mostly peculiar forces troops, and by December their number may emergence to 10,000. Soldiers are to be deployed in the Kursk region, where they can support Russian military operations against Ukraine. Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenski stressed that North Korean soldiers have already been trained in the east of Ukraine and that this could mean a fresh phase in the war.
