Can you park on the lawn? The situation is not obvious, but it is better not to do so.
The issue of parking on lawns in Poland is regulated by the Code of Offences, namely Article 145. In addition, additional restrictions may introduce local resolutions. The demolition or harm of green is punishable by a reprimand, or fine, which can amount to up to PLN 1000. It doesn't substance if you usage your wheels or your dog or by trampling. Exceptions are places for recreation.


If you park in green area, a city defender officer can punish you with a ticket. In the event of a gross violation of the law, the application for punishment may even end. Simple? Not really.
This situation includes the effect, that is, that grass, vegetation, shrub, tree, etc. were definitely damaged by your parking. This means that municipal guards are obliged to prove that this demolition has occurred. Nor can they set up a wheelblock or punish them with punishment points.

Interestingly, the Law on Traffic of 1997 itself does not regulate parking on the lawn. However, this is an crucial component that contributes to the degradation of urban grasses. For this reason, last year, Members Claudia Jachir, Paulina Matysiak and Franciszek Sterczewski addressed the Ministry of Infrastructure with a parliamentary interpelation. They pointed out that there were no circumstantial rules on parking in green areas. In response, they were informed that at this point the ministry was not working on amending the current rules in force. What should drivers do? Best not to park on the lawn.
