The Polish Oświęcim II – Brzeszcze, Chełmek, Kęty, Przeciszów club present on the 43rd anniversary of the introduction of the martial law paid tribute to the victims of the communist government at the plaque commemorating workers who undertook an business strike at the Brzeszcze Mining Plant in December 1981 in protest against the introduction of the martial law.

The martial law has brought suffering to thousands of people and their families – isolation in internment centres, imprisonment, occupation deprivation. Participants of the strike in ZG Brzeszcz took part in the celebrations. Mr Mirosław Szot, Mr Jerzy Siwiec, Mr Marian Centkiewicz and invited guests from the Polish paper Club Libiż.

After the flowers were folded, there came a minute for conversation, memories, reflection...

For the initiative, I would like to thank Mr. Marian Sikora. Klub Gazeta Polskiej Oświęcim II – Brzeszcze, Chełmek, Kęty, Przeciszów, Klub Gazeta Polskiej Brzeszcze, Klub Gazeta Polskiej Libiż.
