August is the last period in which the submission of an application for a benefit from the Good Start program guarantees the payment of PLN 300 in September. ZUS has already passed on to school expeditions over
PLN 886.2 million. In the Podlaskie Voivodeship, the parents and caregivers received PLN 25.4 million.
By 12 August, parents and guardians from Podlaskie Voivodeship submitted nearly 65.3 1000 applications
for the benefit of 300 plus for 98.9 1000 children. ZUS has already paid them PLN 25.4 million. More than 2.3 million applications covering more than 3.4 million children have been received throughout the country. The full amount of benefits paid was already PLN 886.2 million.
– If individual has not yet applied for a benefit of 300 plus, it is worth doing so by the end of August at the latest. A decently completed form sent to ZUS during this period guarantees payment of the money by 30 September. In the case of applications submitted after 31 August, the payment deadline will be longer. ZUS will pay the benefit within 2 months of the date of submission of the application together with the required documents – informs Katarzyna Krupicka, regional press spokesperson for ZUS in Podlaskie Voivodeship.
By the end of August there are 2 weeks left, so it is time to complete the formalities. This can be done at any time and from any place – besides during holidays at home or abroad. Applications for 300 plus are accepted only electronically: via the mZUS application, eZUS portal, electronic banking or the Emp@tia portal. The benefit for the school year 2026/2027 may be requested until 30 November.
A benefit of 300 plus is due regardless of household income. They can be obtained for all school-schooler's kid up to the age of 20, and if he has a pronounced disability, up to the age of 24. The age is calculated year by year, so support is besides granted to students of the last classes of advanced schools, technicians and post-secondary schools, who finished 20 or 24 years before the start of the school year. The benefit does not apply to children attending alleged zeros or students.
The right to apply for a Good Start is, for example, parents, actual and legal guardians, foster families, household home providers, as well as heads of nursing institutions and directors of regional care and therapy institutions.
