In 2025, as part of the celebrations in honor of the Cursed Soldiers, the Memory Run was held in Opoczno. This event took place over the picturesque Opoczyński floodland and was local in nature, covering both the municipality and the county.
The rival race had a way marked around the flood. Participants, divided into different age groups, had the chance to face each another in a sporting atmosphere. Managed by the Foundation “Dar for those in need”, the run was co-organized by Opoczyński County, Opoczno Municipality and MP for the Sejm – Robert Telus.
The winners of the competition could number on awards and diplomas to commemorate their success. During the event there was a spirit of patriotism and memory of those who died for the freedom of Poland, which was emphasized by the patronage of the Institute of National Memory.
