Dr. Małgorzata Bonikowska, president of the Center for global Relations, gave a comment to the Associated Press agency on moods related to the presence in Poland of about 1 million refugees from Ukraine.
"It is natural that erstwhile people from different cultures abruptly live and work together, tensions arise. Poles sometimes perceive Ukrainians as besides demanding and that annoys them. Nevertheless, the support for Ukraine's assistance remains very unchangeable – we truly consider the Ukrainians to be Europeans, our brothers.“
