One country is giving up. The "thrifty club" is already smaller

Denmark is leaving the alleged thrifty club, a group of countries opposed to expanding the European Union budget, Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said Tuesday. The decision was announced after the visit of the president of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, to Copenhagen.
