Hello to his memory!
We urge archival footage of ceremony ceremonies and 2 episodes of the movie from the "Games of Secret Services" series.

From our archive:
On 15 September 2012, respective thousands attended the ceremony Mass of prof. Józef Szaniawski - historian, writer and teacher - celebrated in the Warsaw Cathedral by nearly 40 priests.

The ceremony mass, which was held with the military ceremony, in addition to the household of the deceased, was attended by representatives of the state authorities, including Gen. Stanisław Koziej, head of the National safety Office, parliamentarians of right-wing groups, representatives of patriotic and independency communities, to which Prof. Szaniawski was associated.

In the homily, Bishop Jarecki, referring to the professor's tragic death, emphasized that in our temporal life we must be constantly ready to meet with the Lord. Preserving that only God is able to justice man objectively.

The priest besides emphasized the large patriotism of Józef Szaniawski, whom he witnessed in all conversation with the bishop, expressing his desire that our Homeland should be as noble as possible. The Preacher besides pointed out that Prof. Szaniawski was not satisfied with what was prosaic, lived in a planet of values and sought fact – besides about our Homeland, its friends and enemies.

At the end of the ceremony, erstwhile Jan Lityński first tried to speak, the advisor of the president of the Republic, the faithful, present in the Cathedral, prevented him from applauding and shouting: “honor, disgrace”. The intervention of the parish priest, Fr Bogdan Bartosz, who pointed out to the protesters that "they are found in the temple" was not helpful.

When Jan Lityński tried to talk again, applause again stunned him.

The letter of the rector of the UKSW reads:

"We were happy and arrogant to have in our midst this measurement of the man who died. He was highly valued by the university authorities and greatly liked by university youth".

Father Tadeusz Rydzyk in a very individual speech mentioned that in his conversations with Prof. Szaniawski the words "Viktoria" – triumph – were translated.

"Mr Professor, thank you for showing Victoria, beautiful Polish Victorias coming from the Cross and the Eagle" - said Radio manager Maryja. He stressed that "this is what we are asked and is the way to holiness. We are to proceed to win!".

Oh. Rydzyk besides said that thanks to prof. Szaniawski Radio Maryja and tv TRWAM, recognized as 'media for old, crazy and haunted, became a large university'. The talker appealed that in Poland the Poles' jurying against Poles should end, that the "devil" should end, that we should talk to each other.

Speaking on behalf of the independency circles Prof. Wiesław Wysocki of the UKSW spoke about the deceased as a man who "went to the passion of Sienkiewicz's story". He besides had the courage to convey to the public the imagination of Colonel Ryszard Kukliński's mission.

"Józek was severely and terminally sick with Poland" - said Prof. Wysocki.

At the end of the ceremony, in connection with the incident, he considered it appropriate to talk to Bishop Jarecki. He recalled yesterday the words of Benedict XVI from his pilgrimage to Lebanon, which spoke of the fact of religion and the nature of authentic religiousness.

"This gives us much to think about: that aggression, the more hatred, opposes the fact of religion and this religiousness authentically distorts. And man, all man, even the 1 who disagrees with our views absolutely, even the 1 who persists in error—carrys within him the image of God, the image of the Creator. mistake must be hated, even the most erring man - 1 must love. And this is the hallmark of Christianity, to which all must convert—and the bishop, and the priest, and the lay man," said Bishop Jarecki, and his words gathered in the cathedral were awarded with lascivious applause.

A helpful Warsaw bishop encouraged to work on himself to show specified kind to the world.

"Christians should not repair the planet so much by fighting with the physical weapons of opponents, but should do everything to bear witness in their lives, individually and in the life of the Church. And then – through our faithfulness to Christ – civilization will change," said the bishop, and his words were again applauded at the Cathedral. However, erstwhile he expressed his conviction that the deceased prof. would agree with his opinion, any of his listeners denied it. The unharmed bishop concluded with words:

"In the church we should proclaim the fact of religion and the nature of our religion".

After a ceremony Mass in the Archaeister of St. John, the second part of the ceremony ceremonies was held at the Powązkowski Cemetery, where prof. Józef Szaniawski was buried.
