Mermaid
She was nothing like them.
solid and dense as truth
On the sad river that carried to the sea
sea of disasters
brought here from the edge meadows
sunflowers to their death
in the first hr of the Uprising
She sprayed her blood on the flowers
nothing like sirens.
Those liars
the singing of the sailors
Until they're consumed by a deadly vortex
Nothing but singing
whose grace is granted
good and bad victims and executioners
Like rain like a blind fate
only very skilled ear
distinguishes in clear sound
cold steel from cold morning
purity of speech from pedant purity
I'm looking at you.
You're like a lonely note
which lasts – without which it will not survive
world music
