As early as 31 July 2026, the fresh metropolitan union in Poland - Tricity and half of Pomeranian Voivodeship

In 2017, a metropolitan union was established in the Silesian Voivodeship. After 9 years, it is time for the Pomeranian Voivodeship – Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sopot, a full of 61 municipalities, which is about half the voivodship. The recently created Pomeranian Metropolitan is an area inhabited by about 1.5 million people.
