S-80 submarines yet powered by AIP

The S-80 submarine construction program in Spain entered the next phase. Navantia Shipyard in Cartagena began installing an AIP-independent propulsion strategy on the 3rd ship of this kind (S-83 ‘Cosme García’). The success is all the more due to the fact that this drive has been developed in Spain, and in addition it is simply a completely fresh generation, different from those previously utilized on another submarines.
