From freedom to control. “So they enslave us” – a fresh book on global impact networks
date: June 09, 2026 Editor: Anna

"Freedom is not given erstwhile and for all, but it must be constantly won over" – these words, spoken by St. John Paul II in 1979 in Warsaw, sound especially today. In Europe, questions are increasingly raised not only about the state of democracy, but besides about how 1 step at a time the space of freedom is restricted without utilizing outright violence.
In this debate, the latest book published by the White Raven magazine “They enslave us. Road to the totalitarian state”, by Dr. Gudula Walterskirchen.

The Austrian conservative writer, known internationally for her courageous analysis of political and social processes, raises questions that seldom penetrate the mainstream of public debate: who truly exercises power and shapes the modern world? Where does democratic scrutiny end, and the impact of global business networks begin? Why is the left-wing message completely dominant, and how is the process of eliminating people and content from public space, and how does digital surveillance work?
The author besides asks about the economical and political background of these processes: who in peculiar derives tremendous profits from them, and with them real power? And do not the phenomena observed present gradually lead to a regulation of individual freedom?
"History shows that societies without freedom yet fail. Totalitarian communism in the east bloc countries broke down due to the fact that people lived worse and stopped accepting deficiency of freedom. National socialism and its “Thousand-Year Reich” ended in the sea of blood," writes Dr. Walterskirchen, pointing to the historical sources of modern power mechanisms.
"Man as a sentient and creative being remains a large mystery that goes beyond himself and beyond the most powerful machine," adds the author. "If we want to safe the future, overcome poorness and give as many people a good life as possible, it can only be done in freedom."
It turns out that our minds are manipulated practically all day. Dr. Gudula Walterskirchen, who has been examining processes that have weakened freedom and democracy in the Western planet for years, besides describes the tragic process for freedom of Islamization of western cities, as well as the link between politics, especially German, and economical interests, dating back to times III A Reich to the present. It draws attention to Germany's dangerous rapprochement with Communist China and explains what the large Reset is, and what a powerful position in the global economical and information strategy the largest technological and financial corporations, specified as large Data, Black Rock, Microsoft, Google and respective akin ones occupy.
The book besides indirectly refers to Polish reality. It shows the mechanisms of sex ideology in the state education system, including the massive media-court attacks on past and the Present. It reminds as a memento the importance of the teaching of St John Paul II, which present is brutally rejected from the public space.
It is simply a bold, concrete and deluded publication that organizes the scattered phenomena of the modern planet and shows their common denominator: the gradual shift of borders of freedom, influence and responsibility. An additional asset is the advanced editorial level and a rich set of 150 illustrations that complement the content. The full thing leads to reflection on the fragility of freedom and work for its protection.
