From fear to realism in abroad politics. The book “Fear of Sovereignty. fresh Polish Politics” Jarosław Kuisha

In Poland, concerns about the failure of sovereignty are of a double nature. They cover both the fear of limiting the full exercise of the empire of power by the state and the fear of the physical threat of attack. A characteristic of the sovereign position, which defines the attitudes of the erstwhile regulation of law and justice, is the perception of sources of threats to Polish sovereignty from both the east and Western directions. From the east comes fear of armed aggression. The Western threat is ideological, based on the imagination of losing freedom to specify what is best for the national state.
