As I announced, I am going back to the book “The Attack on Poland” published by the White Raven. It's not my last return to her either. I am becoming increasingly convinced that specified publication has not yet been published in Poland. Unfortunately, too, much indicates that it will not be out of date for a very long time. Now I look at it as the essence of all the matters in which we vote in the current presidential election.
We have been struggling with an almost permanent attack on Poland and Poland since the mid-17th century. This does not mean that the earliest generations of Poles were mostly easier. After the incredible success of the powerful state at the staggering rate built by Liver I, as in his latest book (also published by the White Raven), prof. Wojciech Polak proved – the first Polish king raised Poland to the rank of the first European power. But then there was a alternatively deep crisis, overcome by the unbreakable will and genius of another prominent ruler. Kazimierz Renovator – undoubtedly 1 of the top ones we had and possibly the most (how wrongly!) underestimated. The following centuries, mainly due to the breakdown of the district, are most frequently associated with times of confusion. Not rather right, as prof. Andrzej Nowak points out (again on the pages of wonderful books published by the White Raven) in the territory Poland was forging very innovative, European and at the same time first Polish law. To an even greater degree – the foundations of the highly first and long centuries of effective Polish system, the Polish model of public life, our national kind and customs were formed. All of this together gave emergence to Poland's association with Lithuania and at the same time the union of respective nations of Central and east Europe. A Union that is completely voluntary, most fruitful and sustainable in Europe's history. A Union that has never broken up but has been destroyed by the criminal actions of 3 neighboring powers – Prussian, Russian and Austrian satrapies. As the large historian Prof. Feliks Koneczny noted, "it is the pattern of past that average things that are worse triumph over what is better." The killing of the Republic by forces as wicked as our possessors is an excellent illustration of this very regularity.

Returning to the mediate Ages – in the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries Poland began to form a united kingdom again. In spite of the colossal threats and despite their appalling scale, Kazimierz the large made Poland a country in no respect of the Western countries. During his time, Poland became a fortified state with chains of powerful castles, a state of modern cities, ahead of its era of laws and university, which we had before the first 1 could open, for example, Germany. “The period over i” was put up by 1 of the closest successors of Kazimierz Wielki, who, by slaying the Teutonic Knights, the top military power of the then Europe “bringed to the ground floor” making Poland’s position clear to everyone. It was the position of 1 of the first powers of the continent.
This passage of Poland's past should be well understood by us, due to the fact that it involves 1 of the very crucial norms. From the conflict of Grunwald to the Flood, our country, in the eyes of all, was seen as 1 of the top powers. And unfortunately, it was adequate that in the mediate of the 17th century there would be respective large tragedies, so that this position of large European power would be broken enough, that from then on, being a power would turn for Poland into a conflict for survival. The fact that the Swedes managed to occupy almost our full country in 1655 has turned the Europeans' conviction of Central European order, which for almost a 4th of a millennium was apparent to all. In 1655, Poland bowed to the blows of respective of its enemies. And as the folk proverb says, “a goat’s tree leaps down.” Dazed by blows, demolition and the large passing of Polish blood, the enemies led the Republic to push it to the slippery plain. The German parliament of 1717 torn the Republic of Poland from its crucial characteristics. In a land that was already a shadow of itself, large things continued to be done. specified as the growth of education, the first Ministry of Education and Mining in Europe, the largest public library in Europe, 1 of the first national theatre scenes, the first constitution in Europe. Despite all these large achievements – Poland was no longer a power. And between Germany and Russia – only power can stand. After the crime of partitions on full independence, Poland did not win until the time erstwhile Germany and Russia collapsed due to the large war and revolution. But as shortly as Russia and Germany became more solid – they immediately destroyed Poland.
Poland never fell due to its own fall. If it had not been for the vicinity of the most aggressive of aggressive – Poland would have been perfectly reborn from all crisis. The countries lying in safer places fell 10 times deeper and lasted 10 times longer. But having no neighbors, no Germans, no Russians – no serious harm is done to them. And we over the last 3 and a half centuries have been crushed and reborn. Assaulted, robbed, paid off, exterminated – a miracle that we are inactive alive. Miracle – our power, our will to endure, the miracle of heroism of many of our generations.
Until Poland is one more time the power it was widely regarded as before the defeat of the 17th century – we will not find peace. So we will live – in the face of permanent attacks on Poland. What they are, what they are now – to pain is truly explained by the book “The Attack on Poland”. An highly crucial book. It should be a careful and frequent reading of everyone to whom Poland is close. due to the fact that without knowing the catalogue of threats described in it, we will not survive.
In those days in which it is decided who will be president of the Republic of Poland, “The attack on Poland” is like a catalogue of these threats and pathologies which have been generated by 1 of the candidates for the highest office in our country for decades. And which will make many times bigger, if God forbid, he would become president. And the second candidate is simply a warrant of combating and overcoming these pathologies and threats. “The attack on Poland” – how crucial and timely is reading!
Finally, a small optimism. fewer countries and nations were assassinated as frequently and as terrible as Poland and Poland. Our country's territory is simply a European “battleground”. There's not that many of them anywhere. due to the fact that no country has been invaded with a akin number of times. However, erstwhile we look at all these aggressions which Poland has experienced for nearly eleven centuries of its history, we will announcement that Poland has never been defeated by one, even the most powerful enemy. For Bolesław Chrobry, we could not cope with the simultaneous invasion of even 2 from other sides. To defeat Poland of our ancestors – it was essential to attack at least two, 3 great, hostile forces. So despite the tragedies we've experienced, Poland proved to be an highly strong and unbreakable power. With the attacks on Poland – 1 must count. But the attacks on Poland – we can do it!
