The designation of traffic segregation lines, as well as a lane to turn to the right, correction of the cycle way and elimination of incorrect parking – are changes in the organization of traffic, which in cooperation with the Strzyża territory Council in Gdańsk will be introduced to the Polish Army, al. Grunwaldzka and Szymanowski Street. Their aim is to improve road safety in the area of these streets. Changes will be made by the end of June.
The intersection of al. Polish Army – al. Grunwaldzka
Changes in the organization of traffic at the intersection will consist of the construction of a line designating 2 lanes, allowing to turn right from al. Polish Army in Grunwaldzka. This will kind out the current situation in which, despite the deficiency of marking, drivers are positioned on the right and left side of the street entrance.
Another change will be the correction of the exit from the bicycle road in the roadway of the Polish Army to a common line on foot-row at the monument of Józef Piłsudski. Additionally, blocking posts will be set there, preventing the car from entering the pavement and incorrect parking of vehicles. On the another hand, on the another side of the Polish Army there will be a sign of a ban on stopping and stopping, which will destruct the problem of parking vehicles on the pavement and leaving besides small space for pedestrians

The intersection of Szymanowski – al. Grunwaldzka
Currently, before the junction there is an unmarked bay, serving as a belt for turning right from al. Grunwaldzka in Szymanowskiego Street, as well as a bus stop. Thanks to the changes, the bay will be appropriately marked, indicating the place to halt public transport vehicles and setting the turn belt.
Additionally, at the junction itself, the region will be painted off the traffic, separating the way of vehicles entering and leaving Szymanowski Street. The horizontal marking of pedestrian crossings and cycling will besides be refreshed there.
