The Court of Appeal in Gdańsk, at a secret sitting, rejected the complaint made by representatives of Jacek Karnowski, Mirosław Pobłocki and the Election Committee Agreement for Plus (PnP). The case afraid allegations of defamation by candidate Łukasz Brządkowski during the last election campaign.
According to the portal tcz.pl on 20 April, during the alleged "election silence" Łukasz Brządkowski won the election process with MP Jacek Karnowski, president Mirosław Pobłocki and the Election Committee Agreement for Plus. The dispute afraid calling Łukasz Brządkowki "an undemocratic candidate" in 1 of the pre-election spots aired on social media of the incumbent. Brządkowski's typical requested, among others, an apology and a deposit of 10 1000 to the charity.
Karnowski and Pobłocki must contribute funds for social purposes
President Pobłocki and the PnP Committee were obliged to remove electoral materials containing this term. In addition, the suspect was obliged to pay PLN 2.5 1000 for social purposes – the foundation for the treatment of addictions.
After the verdict, both Mirosław Pobłocki and the Plus Agreement Committee issued public apology statements. Fanpage published: “Mirosław Pobłocki and the Plus Agreement Committee apologise to Mr.Łukasz Brządkowski for spreading false and defamatory information that he is an undemocratic candidate. We're cutting ourselves off. Mr Łukasz Bródkowski is simply a Democratic candidate".
