11 soldiers of the 62nd Light Infantry Battalion in Radom took part in intensive training with Mobile Training Teams. It aims to increase the level of training and efficiency of WOT units under different conditions.
Training with MZSZ is an innovative initiative that combines explanation with practice, allowing soldiers to get unique skills essential to respond rapidly to changing threats. The aim of the training is not only to improve combat skills, but besides to prepare for operation in hard terrain and utmost emergencies.
However, training is more than expanding your cognition – it is besides learning to pass it on. The weekly training programme includes intensive theoretical and applicable field exercises, thus allowing future instructors to gain the essential competences. Participants learn how to transform subdivisions into combat groups in a short time, ready to operate anywhere.
"Training is an chance to get applicable skills"
The participants of the MZSz course do not hide their satisfaction with the possibilities of this training. Among them is Corporal Marta, who has served in the ranks of the 6th Mazovia Territorial Defence Brigade for respective years.
It's a very demanding course that gives me the feeling that we're becoming more independent. We know a lot about tactics and strategies, and here we can practice these skills under the guidance of instructors who catch the slightest mistake by sharing with us their combat experience gained on missions abroad. This training is an chance to gain applicable skills, but besides to see how we operate in crisis situations, under time pressure, says Corporal Marta.
MZSZ training covers a wide scope of issues: from planning combat operations, to navigation in the field, to action during natural disasters. The course participants work in different field conditions, allowing them to learn more about the specificity of mobile teams.
Instructors with combat experience
The best instructors with combat experience have been active in conducting the MZSZ training, frequently peculiar military operators who service in various units of the Polish Army.
– Mobile Training Teams are a consequence to changing geopolitical and technological realities. The fast response, mobility and efficiency are the foundations that we want to convey to course participants. For us instructors, it is crucial that participants feel ready to act in all conditions and that the cognition gained can be passed on. Working with soldiers in the field, under pressure, allows to destruct mistakes and learn from your own experiences – says 1 of the instructors.
The instructors emphasize that 1 of the key elements of the course is cooperation between the squad members. – It is not only a substance of individual skills, but besides of ability to communicate rapidly and efficiently in the team. Mobile Training Teams aim to strengthen the ties between soldiers and enable them to function efficiently in hard conditions," he adds.
New challenges for WOT
The MZSZ program focuses on the individual improvement of each soldier. By adapting teaching methods to participants' needs, the 6th Mazowiecka WOT Brigade creates a solid basis for future leaders and instructors. MZSZ training is another phase in the improvement of the Territorial Defence Army, which play an increasingly crucial function in the country's defence system. This kind of training is provided by territorial instructors from all divisions of the brigade.
