RECLAMA

Korean Haubica K9 Thunder is equipped with 155 mm cal cannon and 12.7 mm cal device guns. The cannon can harm targets up to 40 km away, and the vehicle itself has an operational scope of 480 km and can travel at 67 km/h. The drive is simply a 1000 hp diesel engine with automatic transmission. The weight of the drum is 47 tons.

K9 Thunder version A1 is operated by 5 people: commander, cannon, cargo, cargo attendant and driver. K9PL will have a conventional charging system, but at this year's defence fair in Kielce Hanwha presented the K9A2 model with an automatic charging system. This increases the velocity of fire and allows to reduce the number of soldiers in the crew to three.

Let us remind that in December 2024 in Huta Stalowa Wola a contract was signed to deliver the Polish Army above 250 carriages accompanying the K9 self-propelled booms for almost PLN 8 billion.
