New information on the beating of Ukrainian couple in Wroclaw

Wrocław police are looking for 3 men suspected of violent beating of couples of Ukrainian citizens. The attack took place on Sunday on Okulickiego Street in Zakrzów.

According to the police, it all started with an argument in the store line. The Ukrainians were then attacked on the street. Victims are a 20-year-old female and a 21-year-old male. They both went to the hospital, and the female required a stitching of the ear wound. A recording of a violent beating that shows 3 attackers attacking a man, and his partner tries to defend him, appeared on social media.

Investigators do not regulation out that the assault was national. Police are calling for contact with people who can aid identify the attackers.

Wrocław president Jacek Sutryk condemned the event, stressing that there is no place in the city for hate-motivated violence, xenophobia or national prejudices. He called on residents to respond to force and study it to the applicable services and to politicians to be liable for the language of public debate.

The consul general of Ukraine in Wrocław Taras Tokarski besides reacted to the case. He called on Polish law enforcement authorities to rapidly and accurately explain the circumstances of the attack. He besides thanked the Wrocław authorities for their unequivocal condemnation of the assault.
