On Monday we met the composition of the fresh government of Mateusz Morawiecki. Although the erstwhile Prime Minister announced that this would be an expert's office, the individual elections made by president Jarosław Kaczyński, as it turned out, could be a large surprise for many. Dominika Figurska was not an apparent candidate.
She let me know about the abortion.
Let us remind that Figurska in 2021 supported the bill, which provided for a full abortion ban and draconian punishments for women, e.g. for removing pregnancy from rape – from 5 to 25 years in prison or life imprisonment.
She defended the words about “putting in the neck”
When Jarosław Kaczyński sparked media unrest and rage of many women by saying about “putting it in the neck”, Figurska decidedly took the president of PiS in defence:
A PiS MP, asked by the writer “Gazeta Wyborcza” about this scandalous statement, stated that Kaczyński He didn't say anything like that, and that she was the 1 who "obviously misdirected it."
It's all about demography.
The figure in a way that was ignorant referred to the demographic situation in our country:
– I think that demographic issues have already been explained by Mrs Socha (Barbara Socha from the Ministry of household and Social Policy – ed.) very well. In fact, we do not have a demographic collapse due to the fact that children are born more than they were born, but there are less women of childbearing age – she said in an interview with the writer “Gazeta Wyborcza” in the Sejm.
She condemned the Women's Marches
When many women took to the streets to protest the judgement of the Constitutional Court on abortion, Figurska, according to the organization line, condemned the manifesting persons:
“There was quite a few vulgarity, aggression, hatred. I have the impression that many of these women, among whom there are surely average good women, have been subjected to any manipulation created by certain environments."
Compromise on Radio Zet
And this is an absolute hit... In September 2019, the then councillor of the Mazovia Seymik and the PiS candidate in the elections to the Parliament of Dominica Figurska hosted on the Zet Radio and was questioned by the lead broadcast by Beata Lubecka for basic political issues. Then she laughed.
She could not tell, among another things, how many MPs and senators were in parliament, and also, for how many years can be run in presidential elections. Then the supporters of the democratic opposition had a nourishment, and I wonder how it will be now that Figurska takes the exposed position, that is, becoming the minister of culture.
Although we may not be able to find that out, given that the fresh Morawiecian government will most likely not actually rise.
