New! A survey. erstwhile Prime Minister favoured the presidential candidacy

In the latest public opinion survey conducted by United Surveys for the wp.pl portal, erstwhile Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki was indicated as a favourite for moving for president of Poland for Law and Justice (PiS) in the election of 2025. According to the poll, Morawiecki is supported by 18.3% of respondents, which puts him at the forefront of the list of possible candidates.

The respondents had 10 candidates to choose from. Among them were specified characters as Przemysław Czarnek, Mariusz Błaszczak, Beata Szydło or Elżbieta Witek. Przemysław Czarnek, erstwhile Minister of Education, finished second with a score of 8.6 percent. He somewhat overtakes the head of the PiS parliamentary club, Mariusz Błaszczak, who won 8.2 percent of the vote. Further seats on the list were taken by Kacper Plażyński and Elżbieta Witek, with 7.8% and 5.6% respectively.

Less well-known candidates, specified as Beata Szydło or Andrzej Śliwka, scored 3.9 percent and 2.5 percent respectively. At the very end were Tobias Bocheński and Jarosław Margielski with 0.8% and 0.4% of support, and president of Stalowa Wola, Lucius Nadberezhny, did not gain any support.

The survey besides revealed that as many as 43.9% of respondents did not have an opinion. They did not know who should represent the Law and Justice in the future presidential election. It is worth noting that the undecided people most frequently came from the camp of the ruling coalition, where as many as 73 percent of respondents could not identify the preferred candidate.

The PiS and Confederacy voters would most likely see Matthew Morawiecki as a presidential candidate, pointing to 38 percent of the respondents. Mariusz Błaszczak gained 21% support and Przemysław Czarnek 13%. 11 percent of those surveyed from these political groups were supported by Elżbieta Witek and 7 percent by Beata Szydło.

Some 1,000 people were asked

The survey was carried out on 19-21 April on a typical example of 1000 people by CATI&CAWI, which guarantees the balance between telephone and online data collection methods.

This survey sheds light on the election preferences of PiS sympathizers. In little than 2 years, the PiS will face key presidential elections. Mateusz Morawiecki remains a strong candidate for organization leader in the future election campaign.
