The Minister of Interior and Administration, Tomasz Siemoniak, issued a strong message on social media, in which he warned that "the police would respond hard to the spread of hatred and the violation of the law against this background by groups and individuals." This is simply a reaction to fresh events related to the treatment of migrants in Poland.

The police besides spoke, highlighting their willingness to prosecute and fight acts of hatred. In a message published on the X site, it is noted that "reports of illegal treatment of migrants appearing in media space should be reported to law enforcement alternatively than duplicated". It was stressed that the fight against hatred crimes is 1 of the priorities of the Polish Police, and in any event appropriate action is taken.

"There is no agreement to break law and to spread hatred", the Communication stressed.

Cooperation with the police

Minister Siemoniak pointed out that he worked closely with Chief Police Chief Marek Boroni and his deputies, Czesław Mroczek and Maciej Duszczyk. He called on the public to actively study specified incidents. The Border defender besides joined the police appeal.

Controversial Images

Statements by the head of the Ministry of abroad Affairs and Border defender are related to controversial photos published on X. The pictures show humiliated migrants forced to stick their fingers to their heads to make them match horns. The photographer Paweł Wyrzykowski made the photos available to the Confederation.

Piotr Czaban of Podlaskie Volunteer Humanitarian Aid, working on the Polish-Belarusian border, informed that he had reported the case to the police. Wyrzykowski did not state the origin of the photographs, but in later entries he stated that he had not late been in the border area.

Justice appeal
