In the next Tuesday, May 14, more than 226 1000 students of 8th classes of Polish primary schools will start the decisive phase of their education – the three-day eighth-school exam. This is not only a crucial minute in their educational life, but besides a condition for completing primary school.
On the first day students will face the Polish language exam, and the next days will bring challenges from mathematics and modern abroad language – with the dominant choice in English, which selected 99.7 percent eighth graders.
Other popular languages are German and Russian, especially among 11.6 1000 students who are Ukrainian citizens.
Eighth grade exam. Simplified requirements for the last year
This year's eighth-grader examination will take place on the basis of peculiar examination requirements, which were introduced in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic. Although they narrow down the scope of the material compared to the standard programming basis, we will return to full requirements next school year.
Adjustments for students from Ukraine
For students from Ukraine, the exam will have additional facilities, specified as extended consequence time to the Polish language exam and the availability of translations of examination sheets from mathematics and abroad languages. These changes aim to aid make the best usage of their cognition and skills in the fresh educational environment.
Validity of examination results
The exams will begin on time at 9:00 a.m. each day, and their results will be announced on 3 July. These results are crucial due to the fact that they represent half the points needed to get into the dream school.
