New! Betrayed by the developer and the city of Gdańsk. They live in moisture

On the Zdrovo settlement in Gdańsk, there is simply a drama of the inhabitants. A year after the developer Murapol has completed his investments, the residents of the flats on the ground level are facing a problem that exceeds them. The dampness is so annoying that the walls soak in water like a sponge. The situation is so serious that a permanent stay in these rooms can be a real threat to life.

The developer, alternatively of facing the problem and uncovering lasting solutions, decided to “scare his head into the sand”, leaving the residents alone. Meanwhile, the authorities of the city of Gdańsk, which granted approval to usage these buildings, seem equally passive. In addition, the construction log at the city office contains only... 1 side – thus depicting negligence and neglect of construction standards.

In the face of these difficulties, the intervention was decided by the MP of Law and Justice Kacper Plażyński and the city councillor Przemysław Majewski, who decided to stand up for the residents of the Zdrovo Settlement.

Their intervention is not only an expression of solidarity with the local community, but besides a strong call for action – both by the developer and the city officials liable for the supervision.

“We will not leave the inhabitants alone in the face of this crisis,” says Mr Plażyński.

Councilman Majewski adds: “What happens in the Zdrovo settlement is simply a symptom of a wider problem. The Republic of developers, where profit is in the first place, and the safety and comfort of residents go to the background, must end. We request clarification and immediate action."

The case in Zdrovo Settlement so becomes not only a local problem requiring fast intervention, but besides a symbol of a greater fight for accountability, transparency and respect for the rights of residents. Thanks to the determination of Mr Plażyński and Councillor Majewski, residents can hope for affirmative changes and justice in their community.
