The transport manufacture in Ukraine is not burdened with the costs and regulations that Polish carriers gotta face," said 1 of the entrepreneurs at a fresh press conference. The protest of Polish carriers at the border with Ukraine has been ongoing since 6 November, and Mr Witold Tumanowicz stressed that this is simply a "fight to last against unfair competition from the east resulting from an unfavourable agreement between the European Union and Ukraine".
During a conference organised by the Confederation, 1 of the carriers active in the protest took the floor.
– Why are we here today? Watching our work, the carriers driving towards Ukraine, I noticed for respective years that we have been on a downward slope. Unfortunately, we are effectively displaced from this direction by our Ukrainian competition, which is not subject to specified costs, specified rules as Polish carriers must comply with said Michał Okliński.
– Our main demands are to reconstruct commercial and only commercial transport permits. Of course, humanitarian transport from these permits is exempt. The second main request is to lift the electronic queue for our cars. For European cars returning from Ukraine to the Union, which are being held there at the moment, they must stand about 10 to 15 days (empty) – he added.
Marta Czecha from the Confederation of the Polish Crown besides spoke during the conference, expressing his position.
– The Confederation has been monitoring the problems of the Polish transport manufacture for the last year, and since March we have regularly put ourselves where we request to and detailedly present these problems. It is not only a busy transport industry, but besides a plowed agricultural manufacture and many another industries in Poland, which are presently on the verge of bankruptcy. This is not the effect of a virus or Putin, but the effect of acting and acting in power that has ruled Poland for the past years. The authority spoke so much about humanitarianism towards everyone else, whether Ukrainians or not, but not Poles, not Polish families, not Polish entrepreneurs, not Polish farmers, not Polish transport operators – stressed.
– Time to pay attention to Poland's interests. adequate with the correct rhetoric, the correct political one, which makes us take care of everyone else, not our own. Let us yet take care of Poles, Polish businesses. possibly it was time to ask whether it was humanitarianism to poison the Polish agri-food marketplace with the alleged method grain or even mill cleaning, from which Poles already ate bread? Is it humanitarian to keep Polish transport vehicles and drivers in long-time queues in the cold, in hard sanitary conditions? Is it humanitarian at last to shout out banner slogans against the legal protest of Poles? A slogan called “The Death of Lachom”? Ladies and gentlemen, these are already criminal threats against which the government in Poland should show immediate reaction – stressed the Czech Republic.
Krystian Kamiński, a erstwhile MP, reported that Confederate activists "filled night watch at border crossing points, assisting strikers". – They are fighting to guarantee that the Polish transport manufacture does not die in silence. And we're helping them. The Polish transport manufacture accounts for over 6 percent of GDP. They created this power and the Polish state has a work to guarantee that no 1 can destruct it (industry) – concluded Kamiński.
